Nominate a deserving mother.......

Monday 25 April 2011

I love doing the HOT MAMAS....they are so much fun!
I wish that all mother's....whether those who have physically given birth or those who are mother-like in whatever they do...could have the chance to do these photos.
They make you feel like a million bucks and who doesn't deserve that?!
I have said it before but don't you have old photos of your mom.
Black and white ones that just blow you out of the water with how stunning she is?!
I do.
I love them.
While they remind me of her physical beauty, they say so much more about who she is to me.
Shouldn't everyone get a photo like that?
Well....I wish I could give it to everyone but there are only 24 hours in day so.....
How about we find one really special super amazing mother.....
I mean, let's be honest, aren't we all?! ;)
But we have to narrow it down to a mother who REALLY needs this and would benefit the most.
I bet you are already thinking of someone.....some wonderful mother out there who is dealing and making due with her situation the best way she can.

Now before I get to the nitty gritty....here are the details you really want to know.
You must leave a comment with the details about the mom you nominate and WHY.
THEN if you want to get more entries for your nominee then make sure with each vendor below you become their fan on Facebook, then come back to leave a comment that you did! Each like & comment will earn your nominee another entry! This is for a mama in Arizona by the way...she must be able to redeem her shoot while I am here!

So first things first....make sure you become a fan of the Pied Piper Facebook & The Beauty Mark.

What would she get:

My friend Jamie has PCOS and has been unable to give birth to children. She and her sweet hubby decided to create their family through foster care and adoption. She has since adopted 6 kids out of foster care and has 2 more placements in her home that they are hoping to adopt.
The most incredible thing about her children is how young they are! Their ages are: 10, 7, 6, two 5 year olds, a 4 year old and two 2 year olds. Yet she still has a routine and a clean home! :) (Believe it!)
I tell her regularly that she is supermama! She is so good at giving each of her kids the daily one-on-one attention that they need. She knows each ones specific needs from her, so that they feel secure and loved. I don't know anyone else that is a more impressive, amazing mama. :)
She is very deserving!

wow, this is really amazing! Im so happy I found it via Bridgette's tweet. I usually don't like entering things like this and getting all sob story, but this is so very much what my mom needs write now… here I go.

I'm nominating my own Mom, Lori, because she needs as much good joy and happiness thrown at her right now as I can possibly find. Im struggling to do this by myself, as it's quite a big job…

My father was diagnosed with cancer just over two years ago. My mother and I have spent the past two years caring for him, putting our lives completely on hold. During this time, my parents house was robbed twice and their cat was run over by a car and put down. Last year, my parents moved into my house as my Dad's health declined to the point of no return and he passed away in February.

He was her life. They have been together since she was 17. I am her only daughter, and also her life. I've lived near my parents my entire life but just moved to North Carolina this past weekend (military move).

I'm heartbroken that my mother lost my father and, in a sense me, at the same time. I'm so far away but spend my days doing what I can to ease her suffering.

So I guess this talks more about her in general, rather than her specifically as a Mother, which is maybe more what this is about. However, the fact that I care so much shows without saying what type of Mother she is and always has been.

Thanks so much for this ~
xo, nicole

I know the Jamie that is mentioned by onehm. She is deserving. I have another nomination as well. My cuz, she had two rough pregnancies and adopted a 3rd girl. She puts so much effort into every detail of her life and is the perfect mom for 3 girls. read her adoption story and see her interests on her blog.http://rayfamilycharm.blogspot.com/

I nominate my sweet sister Amy, a mother with empty arms...she lost her first baby only hours after birth in December due to a catastrophic heart defect. Strong in spirit, humor and faith, she is so deserving of this opportunity.

I nominate my friend Elise. She and her husband have dealt with infertility for the past 5 years and are trying to adopt. They had a birth mother pick them, deliver the baby. They met their new son, spent a few days with him and then the birth mom decided to parent him herself. They are devastated. This would be a fabulous gift for her to help lift her spirits and spread the word about their trying to adopt.

What a genuine act of service! Love it! I am nominating my mom. 7 yrs ago, she lost my father to cancer after caring for him round the clock for 2 yrs. During this time, she was raising a teenager and holding down a full time job to keep up with everything. 3 yrs later, my little two year old had cancer and she was right there with me every step of the way helping care for him and for my other children while I was away at the hospital. Since then she has relocated to try and find herself again since she was in her mid 40s when my father passed. Trying to relocate and start over at that age is not easy! She recently suffered a brain aneurism and the Doctors say she is a walking miracle...she should NOT be here and be back to full capabilities for the kind of aneurism she had. She is always on the giving end and has never asked for help in return. Since the aneurism in March, she has been down on life and I could really use the boost of confidence to pick her and get her back to living again. Her life has been put on hold for about 10 yrs now and it has really taken a toll on her and this would be the perfect thing to show her she is not only beautiful on the inside, that she is beautiful on the outside as well!

We love pied piper and I think that my sister in law Ashley would be the perfect one for the nomination. She is a young single mother of three (a 4 year old girl and two twin boys that are almost one!) She rarely gets any time for herself especially a day of pampering. No doubt it would be something that her sweet babies would be able to look back on and see their momma looking amazing, reminding them how amazing she really was, and is I might add. Before she had her own children she was the favorite aunt of all the grandchildren. She is kind and always postive amidst her challenges! A true courageous momma. And to add my own, if she wins I will babysit for the day while she gets pampered! Thanks Pied Piper!

I would like to nominate my step-mom, Cristine. She has completely changed my dad’s life and stuck through him through so very much. They have moved several times in my baby brother’s short 5 years to achieve a better life. While Cristine was 8-months pregnant, my dad was in an accident and he almost lost his leg. She worked up to her delivery and went back to work immediately after. She supported my dad through his recovery and the devastation of being betrayed by family, employers and life. They are back in Phoenix and have finally found safe ground. She is an amazing woman who accepted my brother and I with great love and makes sure to nourish the bond between us and our baby brother. She has sacrificed much and kept her head up always. Never asking for help and always doing 150%, she deserves her own sunshine and recognition for her strength, courage, determination, love, tolerance, and many more words that fill a great big bowl of spirit.

I would like to nominate my mother. Next week will be the 5th year that my mom has raised me and my sisters as a single mom. I was 6, my middle sister was 4, and my baby sister was 2 when he died.

The month after my dad died, my moms mom got sick. We found out it was cancer. My mom took care of us kids, and her mom every day for 9 months until my grammy died too.

Since then my mom has worked 2 jobs at home so that she can have enough money to pay the bills, and still be home for us all the time when we need her. She's always working, taking us to church activities or helping with our school projects.

Also, in the last 2 years my mom has lost a ton of weight! She's lost 200 pounds! Last week she had surgery to remove some extra skin on her arms.

I think she deserves this really cool prize! She does everything for everyone else, and since I am only 11 I can not give her a really cool present. This would make both of us very happy!

I nominate my ex MIL Melanie.
Have you ever walked into a room that was filled with warmth and a smile, had a hug that could melt all the achy tired worries of life? This woman has had a beautiful blessed life, which has been filled with her own personal blessings and struggles. She was my blue print for what kind of mom I wanted to be. She has raised 4 strong boys that have become wonderful men and I feel she deserves this so that she can see in print what others see of her in life.

I would like to nominate my sister Missy. She has two teenage daughters who she loves and adores. Her youngest daughter Huntre was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes a few years back. My sister takes care of her 24/7 and never relaxes or takes time for herself. She is on top of it and worries about her daughter constantly. I think she would be the perfect deserving mother and could use a day to get pampered.

i would love to nominate my dear friend cambree. she just lost her 2nd girl this past easter weekend. both have been still born. she has a beautiful, healthy boy in the middle to whom she is an absolute wonderful mother too. not many women value that role as much as she does. the most amazing thing about her losses is her attitude, perspective, and faith. she knows who she is, and lives her life so that she can see her girls again and raise them in another life. she helps inspire me to be a better mother and person and to be grateful for my own beautiful, healthy children.

I would like to nominate my wife Kailee. She doesn’t know Im doing this so I hope I don’t embarrass her. She always shows me this website, and I happened to see a link to this and instantly thought she would be deserving of something special like this.

She is a mother of two and does an amazing job. She loves her kids more than anything else and is not afraid to show it; no matter if it involves sprinting across Disneyland with a 1 yr old in her arms just to get the chance for her child to hug Goofy before he leaves for the day. She’s very caring and passionate about her family.

Not only does she deal with the daily challenges that come from being a mom, but she also helps out other families with their kids. She frequently invites neighborhood kids to come play at our house so other moms in the neighborhood have additional time on their hands. She randomly cooks for other families on our street that are experiencing any type of hardship. She is always thinking of how she can help others. When I come home after work, she has cooked dinner, bathed the kids, and cleaned the house. She does all of this so I have sufficient time to study for my exams.

Apart from the mundane tasks that have to be done, she finds time to make me feel special by leaving nice notes for me around the house, giving me random kissed throughout the day, and even letting me watch college football all day on a Saturday.

She does face personal challenges as well, but she does not project those onto others. She has a smile that lights up a room and a personality that’s spunky and fun. She’s the love of my life and I couldn’t have dreamed for a more dedicated, loving wife and mom for my kids.

PS I'll even like all the pages mentioned above.

I would like to nominate my sister Lindsey. She has four little kids, works part-time and is going to nursing school full-time right now. Her days are packed from morning 'til night with fulfilling these duties, leaving her no time for herself. I am amazed at all that she is able to accomplish every day. This would be a great pick-me-up to help her keep going!

My daughter, Heidi, is the most deserving of the opportunity to capture her exquisiteness. Her first child was born with a heart condition and has risen to the occassion whole heartedly as she now raises two sons, mostly alone. As a mother I want her children to know how beautiful she is, even when she's old and gray.

I saw this post on facebook... I have an amazing strong daughter, Alexa. Her blog is It's A Love Story at www.chellisandalex.blogspot.com

She has 2 kids, 4 and 6 and wants to have more. She was pregnant in January but had a ectopic pregnancy and had to have her left tube removed. She is still hopeful that she will be pregnant by the end of this year.
She has dealt with many hardships the last couple of years that it think has made her a stronger person and a great mother and wife.
Her husband had a stroke almost 2 years ago and is paralyzed on his right side. Not only does she take care of her kids but her husband too, not to mention the finances and all things a her husband used to do.
She takes the bull by the horns with anything she does and conquers her challenges and is an example to many people. She is a great example to me and I am in awe of the many things she accomplishes and does everyday!

I think she is the most deserving mother i know. And her birthday is in just a couple weeks.

Pick her. You won't regret it. Thank you.

I am nominating my dear and long-time friend, Erin. She has handled the challenges that have come her way over the years with grace and strength. The last few years have placed her on an especially difficult path (because of a certain somebody who belongs to the male species), but she is doing an amazing job raising her three young daughters. She has had to deal with more than I can ever imagine being able to handle and has handled it all with amazing strength! She is one deserving mama!!
